Product Description
This compound is a structurally modified derivative of conventional alkyldimethylchlorosilanes. It introduces a rigid phenyl group at the terminal skeleton of n-butylchlorodimethylsilane while preserving the highly reactive Si-Cl bond. Combining the flexible hydrophobicity and excellent film-forming performance of alkylsilanes with the high-temperature resistance, UV stability, solvent resistance and structural rigidity of phenylsilanes, this reagent overcomes the inherent drawbacks of pristine alkylsilanes, including poor weatherability, inferior thermal stability and low coating mechanical strength. It is a high-performance specialized reagent applicable to advanced organic synthesis, high-weather-resistance material modification and the preparation of functional organosilicon monomers.
