This product is a high-activity monofunctional alkyl chlorosilane with linear n-octyl and dimethyl composite alkyl structure. It can undergo controllable hydrolysis and graft copolymerization to introduce straight-chain octyl hydrophobic segments into silicone molecular chains. It effectively optimizes the surface lipophilicity, molecular chain flexibility and low-temperature fluidity of conventional dimethyl silicone materials, serving as a key monomer for preparing medium-long alkyl modified silicone oil and silicone resin.
2. Efficient Low-surface-energy Hydrophobic Modifier
The straight-chain n-octyl alkyl segment features low surface polarity and stable chemical inertness. The highly reactive Si-Cl bond can form firm covalent grafting with hydroxyl groups on the surface of glass, metal, silica and ceramic substrates.
